Page Cleaning The Printhead Lens Maintenance Cleaning the printhead lens You can solve some print quality problems by cleaning the printhead lens. Turn the MFP off. Open the upper front door and the multipurpose feeder door.
See Replacing the print cartridge. Locate the glass printhead lens. To replace them: Turn the MFP off. Grasp the plastic part of the used pick roller assembly on each side. Align the tabs on the cover with the slots and firmly press it into place.

Push the assembly to the right. Align the other end of the pick roller assembly with the hole on the opposite side of the ADF and place the end into the hole.
